Austin real estate market update for August 2022, average new listings and closings reported from ABOR

Despite what you may hear in the news, the sky is not falling in the world of real estate. We’ve simply shifted from an extreme (and unprecedented) seller’s market to a more traditional (and stable) market. It’s still a great time to sell! Austin real estate will continue appreciate as our amazing city continues to grow.

As interest rates are projected to stay around 5-6% for the rest of the year, we’re having more and more conversations with buyers about how much house they can afford now. So knowing your numbers is key. Talk to your lender!

Whether buying or selling, both sides are adjusting to this new normal we’re seeing in the market.
